A.F.Y. Security Distributors is a 2nd generation, family-owned security distribution company looking to add to our team. We are seeking a Sales Associate to greet customers in our showroom, answer phone calls, assist with sales questions about our products, and help customers with counter check-out. The associate will also be responsible for receiving shipments and stocking shelves as needed.

Compensation

• $14-16 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Picking orders by phone, website, or counter and shipping when necessary
• Receiving shipments from shipping partners and stocking shelves
• Periodic inventory checks, counts, and (re)organization of shelves and displays
• Counter checkout that includes scanning and identifying customers’ items at point of sale
• Maintain periodic communication with remote store supervisor/manager via chat/phone/video as necessary
• Help with shop upkeep (periodic vacuuming, wiping counters, trash out, etc.)

Qualifications

• Basic math aptitude and ability to count change quickly and accurately
• Basic English grammar/spelling and ability to compose short emails
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy packages up to 50lbs
• Basic computer skills and literacy (Windows, email, spreadsheets, etc.)
• Documented experience in residential/commercial electronics installation desired, but not mandatory
• Multi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply
